The Khelo India Centre aka special area games centre is going to be started soon at the newly built Sports Complex in Ballarpur tehsil. Following the pursuance of the issue by former Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Welfare Kiren Rijiju has assured to dedicate the games centre to the service of sportsmen.

MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar was pursuing the matter with the Union Sports Ministry for quite some time. He talked to the Union Minister of State Kiren Rijiju on the phone over the issue. He informed that a beautiful sports complex with all necessary facilities has been built near Ballarpur town. Renowned film star Aamir Khan had inaugurated the stadium built to develop the sports persons of international standards. All the facilities to build the International standard capability among the local sportsmen have been provided in the newly-built stadium. The objective of the stadium was to prepare the sportsmen for the Olympic 2024 from the district under ‘Mission Shakti’, a dream project of Sudhir Mungantiwar.
